We offer a variety of edge profiles on our custom pieces. 

A "Chamfer" edge is a transitional edge between two faces of an object. The term Chamfer is commonly used in manufacturing and engineering. The word itself is derived from the French word "Chamfrein" meaning a variant of a beveled edge.

Edge profiles are a common way to elevate the design of an object or furniture piece. While you might think an edge profile is purely decorative, there is much more to it than that. Softening the edge of a table top serves a practical purpose. Eliminating the sharp edge offers more comfort and a profile protects the corners from damage. 

This coffee table (above) was given a modern twist with the Chamfer edge profile for it's final location in the Naturally Pacific Resort in Campbell River designed by CHIL Design.
