Our hands are involved in every step of the process. Most importantly, we dry the wood to suit your home and it’s climate. Our favourite wood to work with is Bigleaf western maple, our next favourite is walnut and our next is fir and our next is elm. We just love wood! We strongly believe that correct kiln drying is the key to a table top that will last for generations. Wood in its natural, solid form likes to move, warp and twist, if left to its own devices. We have developed a strict drying regime and a reinforcement system that will keep our table tops flat and functional for many, many years.
